Business Club Meeting – Cyber Security Conference
February 26, 2020 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Hacking, fraudulent transactions, intellectual property, and identity theft are just a few of the areas for concern for businesses small and large. Our presenters, Samuel Hussain and Kathryn Stavropoulos explained how the cyber threat is evolving and emanating from nation-states, organised crime and international terrorists and, most importantly, they explained how the attendees could take proactive measures to protect both themselves and their business from such attacks.
Samuel works for Barclays Bank, who are members of LSCC, and hosted the evening’s presentation. As the bank’s Business Banking Digital Engagement Manager he was able to share insights and tips as well as helping members to understand what threats exist and steps they could take to improve their resilience to a cyber-attack. With his years of experience, we were sure of receiving expert knowledge to help us understand why we should bring cybersecurity up in our priority list. Kathryn is from Reload Digital and is a digital marketing strategist and trainer, with interests in connecting the latest social media and advertising trends with wider business and marketing objectives.
There was no charge for this event and there was a complimentary buffet with wine and soft drinks.
