LSCC TRADE VISIT: CROATIA (SPLIT) – In Association with the British Croatian Business Club

Split is the second-largest city in Croatia, the third largest seaport in the Mediterranean, and the second largest airport by number of passengers. It has a mild Mediterranean climate with more than 300 sunny days a year and its economy is based  principally on  tourism services, Mediterranean agriculture and fishing, naval construction and shipbuilding, manufacturing and trade, civil construction, electricity and water supply, waste management, ICT sector, financial activities and real estate business, administrative and support service activities, scientific, health and social welfare activities.

Programme Outline                                                                                                                         Sunday 14^th May:

Depart London from choice of Gatwick, Stansted or Luton. Arrive Split and transfer to hotel. Rest of day and evening at leisure.

Monday 15^th May:   

10am to 2pm Reception at Croatian Chamber of Commerce offices    

 2pm to 3pm Networking Lunch

3pm to 5pm B2B meetings with local businesses

7pm Dinner at Zrno Soli Restaurant, British Croatian Business Club

Tuesday 16^th May

9am visits to local business premises for interested parties

2pm tour of Split

7pm visit to local winery Putalj; dinner; local and regional music genres

Wednesday 17^th May

Boat trip to Brac Island, seafood lunch and tour of island

Thursday 18^th May

Visits to chosen private clinics for medical, surgical or dental assessment and treatment       OR                                                                                                                                                       Day at leisure, lunch and departure

PRICE PER PERSON: Hotel + breakfast (4 nights)

Four-star hotel: £284 in triple room. £352 in twin or £520 in single.

Three-star options are also available

• This visit is a balanced mix of business and pleasure. Everyone is expected to attend the business programme on 15^th May but other Items listed in the Outline are optional. Some entail a cost which will depend on sponsorship available
